TLC helped to redefine the girl band. Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas joined forces in 1990 under the curation of record producer Ian Burke and quickly went on to become multi-million selling record breakers. TLC sold over 60 million records worldwide, won four Grammys, and made four multi-platinum albums. Their second studio album, CrazySexyCool, went 12-times platinum and earned diamond status with 15 million sales. And they were broke.
